The Masai Mara in Kenya offers excellent safari and the unique opportunity to see the most number of animals per square mile including “the big five” which are the lion, the leopard, rhino, elephant and water buffalo and it’s not uncommon to see some 30 species of larger mammal whilst on your Masai Mara safari.

At an altitude of around 5500ft. the habitat is predominantly open grassland plains dotted with trees and thickets, and incised with forested drainage lines. The Mara and Talek rivers flow, or hold water, throughout the year, sustaining the vast wildlife population.

Safari camps which lie outside the reserve itself offer walking safaris as well as game drives. Horse riding trails are also available, whilst private safari houses are perfect for families. Safari excursions with expert guides can be easily arranged to allow you to experience this fascinating region and its wildlife both safely and to the full.
