Popular tourist attractions include Kings Park (located next to Swan River this park spans a massive 1000 acres of land and is home to tree-lined walks and promenades, picnic spots and precincts for different activities), Fremantle (just 30 minutes from Perth's city centre, the bustling and dynamic port city of Fremantle is home to the cappuccino strip, micro-breweries, a wealth of international and local cuisine and much, much more), Rottnest Island (most popularly accessed by ferry boat this island is surrounded by beautiful beaches and was declared an A-Class Reserve under the Permanent Reserve Act 1899), and Whale watching (tours can be arranged for you to be mesmerized by the Southern Right Whales and Humpback Whales as they make their way along the coast during migration).
