Etosha National Park in Namibia protects a vast shallow bowl of silvery sand the size of Holland and its surrounding bush and is a wonderfully exciting place to go on Safari. During the dry season tens of thousands of animals converge to drink at the waterholes beside this pan such as Wildebeest, zebra, impala, gazelle, kudu, elephant, giraffe and lion, Etosha is also a good place for birds with plenty of water birds on the lakes and weaverbirds and hornbills in the trees.

One of the easiest ways to view the wildlife here is to simply sit in your car by one of the waterholes and wait for the animals/birds to come to you however Safari excursions with expert guides can be easily arranged to allow you to experience this fascinating region and its wildlife both safely and to the full.
