Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is Located in south-western Uganda, at the junction of the plain and mountain forests, Bwindi Park covers 331 square kilometres and is known for its exceptional biodiversity, with more than 160 species of trees and over 100 species of ferns and home to many different varieties of butterflies and birds and named as a UNESCO World Heritage Centre.
The forest is most famous for being home to half of the world’s known mountain Gorillas counting around 330 of them and guided tours can be easily arranged to view these majestic creatures in their natural environment.
