The Capilano Suspension Bridge is one of Vancouver’s most popular tourist attractions drawing thousands of people from all over the world who wish to follow in the footsteps of the millions that have crossed this amazing piece of engineering.

The bridge stretches 450 feet (137m) across and 230 feet (70m) above the Capilano River, it was originally constructed of hemp rope and cedar planks attached to Douglas-firs however it is now constructed with pre-stressed wire cable attached to 118 ton anchors. The bridge and the surrounding park offers a unique mix of adventure, history and culture making any visit here fun for all the family.

Other attractions here include Cliffwalk (a cantilevered walkway clinging to the granite cliff high above Capilano Canyon), Treetops Adventure (seven suspension bridges through the evergreens taking you up to 100 feet (30m) above the forest floor offering a spectacular view of the forest bellow), guided nature tours, the Kids Rainforest Explorer program and the Living Forest exhibit.
