The Terracotta Army in Xi`an, is one of the top attractions in China because of its historical significance and uniqueness. It is significant because the hundreds of detailed life size models of soldiers, horses and weapons represent the army that triumphed over all other Chinese armies and who were the decisive factor in forming a united China. The museum here covers an area of 16,300 square meters, divided into three sections: No. 1 Pit, No. 2 Pit, and No. 3 Pit respectively.

There are columns of soldiers at the front, followed by war chariots at the back with the life size terracotta figures of warriors and horses arranged in battle formations being the star attractions at the museum.
