Luxury Multi Centre Holidays to Vang Vieng
Vang Vieng, located in Vientiane Province lies on the Nam Song river and is a mostly tourism orientated town first settled in 1353 as a staging post between Luang Prabang and Vientiane. The main attraction of this area has always been the stunning terrain surrounding it which is honeycombed with unexplored tunnels and caverns and several of the caves (said to be inhabited by spirits) play minor roles in local mythology, while the cliffs boast come of the best rock climbing in the region.
One of the most popular pastimes in Vang Vieng is River Tubing which consists of hiring an enormous tyre inner tube which you drive a couple of miles upstream and place in the steady flowing waters of the river to float home and enjoy the beautiful scenery on the tranquil journey back. There are a selection of simple bamboo bars that have been constructed along the way for “Tubers” to stop and relax even more (if that is possible) by enjoying a selection of beverages including free shots to lure in the punters and a variety of light meals.
Caving is another popular attraction that the area has to offer where you can in some places simply float through on one of the giant tyre inner tubes mentioned above or swim at no charge in the tranquil waters through the well-lit and also sometimes dark areas of the caves.
